About me
My heritage is a blend of stories from across the region. My mother’s family migrated from Zaiton, China, in the 70s, while my father’s journey to Hong Kong began in Guangdong, carrying a lineage that traces back to the Korean Peninsula. I have the honor of being born in this city of the Pearl of the Orient – Hong Kong. I grew up in this small yet marvelous town, received my education, and began my career here.
My story took root at The Education University of Hong Kong. There, I kindled a quiet vow—not of bold decrees, but of listening, learning, and weaving paths where every voice might resonate. This belief bore me beyond the classroom’s promise into the lively realm of technology and entrepreneurship.
The world is a curious tapestry—a single idea can ripple across borders. Yet it is also vast enough to hold countless inequalities. In struggling to understand this, I founded my first company, Censpot, at the HK Science Park, aiming to bridge opportunity’s gaps through innovation. Later, at Cyberport, I co-founded Sapiens, an AI firm where we unravel human needs through data’s silent poetry. Guiding these enterprises across Asia and Europe has deepened my roots, turning fleeting ideas into lasting bridges.
Yet my heart ever returns to the spark of education. Through Wonders Initiatives, I now blend technology, entrepreneurship, and the arts to craft pathways for Hong Kong’s youth. The great wanderer Ibn Battuta once said, “Travelling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” Having wandered through 70 nations, I’ve gathered tales of hope, yet my story remains tethered to Hong Kong. Here, I strive to nurture a world where our young may dream boldly and call this city home with pride.
